Freshman Convocation - Spetember
- Incoming freshman are met by current students, faculty,
and Engineering Society Alumni for a welcome barbecue
before the semester begins.
Alumni Homecoming - September
- Football game: Rutgers v. Norfolk State University -
Engineering Alumni greet visitors at Homecoming, to talk
about our society, and to hand out "slinkies" with the RES
logo
Engineering Alumni Meet & Greet - October
- Alumni and current seniors of the School of Engineering
are invited to the Rutgers Club for an informal evening of
networking, business card exchange, and meeting other
alumni. Hosted by the members of the Rutgers Engineering
Society. There will be a short RES meeting following the
"Meet & Greet"
Career Night - November
- Career night is an evening of practice interviews, resume
reviews and informal Q&A session with engineering
students. Topics of discussion include career choices,
interviewing, advanced degrees and professional licensing.
We do make a difference in a student’s life.
Alumni
Family Day - January
- An RAA event; volunteers, and the students, of Rutgers
University host visiting Elementary School students and
their families for a day of fun.
Career Night - Speed Networking - February
- An RAA event; At this well-attended event, alumni
will meet with junior and senior students seeking to
enhance their networking skills, and build
relationships....
Open
House - April
- Alumni volunteers, and the students, and faculty of the
School of Engineering greet high school students and their
parents, and help them have a successful visit at Rutgers.
This event is usually the first Saturday in April.
Distinguished Engineer Award - May
- The Engineering Society bestows their Distinguished
Engineer Award on an outstanding alumni at the School of
Engineering Gala in May
Outstanding Scholar Awards - May
- The Engineering Society bestows awards on the top
performing graduating seniors, at Commencement exercises in
May
